Stellar tank!

love the dimensions... lighting... and aquascape

well done

Thanks for the compliments I appreciate it

You need to update this thread my mans, saw an updated photo on the main page, looks gorgeous - I got par30s as well - where did you get the bendable light fixtures from?

ahahah you liked that one?

I got the fixtures from ikea

Here is the Canadian like : http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/20110903/

It looks rather large but actually comes in two parts and then I just drilled the a hole in the stand and plugged them in

Here are some new photos for everyone

Here is a full tank shot

Amazing tank I think it will be totm sometime soon

you think?

Whereabouts did you have your tank made? I'm looking for a good shop in the area.

I got it made at miracle aquariums in orange ville

heres the link

http://www.miraclesaquariums.com/

I paid just over $100 and it took 2 weeks not starphire

John at North American Fish Breeders does amazing work as well

you can reach him at 416-267-7252

not as $$ as miracles

Wow! Amazing tank! Great job! Simple and effect!

Thanks - I'm trying to keep it simple

Are you saying NAFB is more or less expensive? I had a tank quoted by Miracles at $120 which isn't a bad price just a far drive from Whitby.

Your tank is amazing by the way!

Hey

From what I understand NAFB is less expensive

I have seen miracles work and NAFB and their both exceptional

If you end up going with miracle add about .5'' to all your measurements because they shave down the edges

Holy crap I bet that freaked you out... Any idea what it is?

That reminds me why I keep a pair of tweezers in my stand...

Also, awesome tank! I like the dimensions, and the visual arrangement of the rock is stunning. I also like your choice of fish.

*Edit* Duh it's a fireworm according to the title...

*eeessh!*

Remind's me of the 6" fireworm I pulled out of my old 40br.... It was 3/8" wide!!!

Fireworm's are disgusting.

That's insane reminds me of a friend who had something like that living inside of her after living in Thailand for a year.

Are you still running the single fluval 105 filter?

Answer Time!

Still have the Fluval 105 running. Im in the process of building a fitler/ fuge - I'm so excited - I"ll post photos next week

Jeez that thing is huge! Is the clam ok? Kinda crazy that can just be living inside a clam like that.

Clam is doing great

I'm always on the look out though for more fireworms

Great tank man! Really good work. How have you found the corals to take to the par30s? Are you liking the color and growth?

Love the PAR bulbs- coloration is sick - polyp extension longer than I have ever seen - growth is incredible - I love the color

I would highly recommend to anyone

no more LR - the open scape is a very beautiful and unique feature about your tank, let some things grow in a little bit first ;)

Too late I just bought a little more and scaped it - I will photos this week

I can't keep up with the growth

incredible tank! what kind of stand is it on?

I built the stand - I can put some photos up if you like

I'm thinking about making a metal stand w/glass top this Christmas when I have time off work and school

...also how deep is your sand bed?

Lol next to nothing

maybe 1/8''

very thin and I change it often

...and also what is your maintenance routine like?

I change 8 litres a week = 2.11 gallons

Clean the glass daily

Feed daily a tiny , tiny bit of brine + mysis

Clean filter every 2 weeks ( carbon _ floss change)

Cleans pumps, power heads and sand every month

sounds like a PITA lol
