¿Clueless Coral?

Recommended Posts

Been searching high and low and can't seem to find something that looks like this. I am assuming it might be some type of mushroom, and that would only be on the assumption because these were attached to the rock I purchased with mushrooms. They are hard to see when they are not opened.

Thanks for the help...

^Indeed, Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum.

::edit:: You're pretty close with guessing it's a mushroom. Both are types of corallimorphs. Pseudocorynactis are non-photosynthetic, so they'll subsist on captured pods and stray bits of food.
