UWWMatt's Random Pics

109 posts in this topic

My camera has been sitting around collecting dust for the past few months, so in an effort to get myself motivated I am starting a thread to put all my random photographs in. Criticism is welcome. If you have some pics you'd like to show off feel free to post them.

A few to start it out.

I really like the frog pic, but for some reason don't like the depth of field on the spider pics.

Yeah I am a little disappointed with the spider ones. It was up in a corner out of reach of my tripod, and I couldn't get close enough or steady enough shooting freehand.

Canon rebel xti

Kit IS lens

50mm prime

180mm macro

I have a couple other lenses but never use them.

Thanks

Yeah it was really hard to pull the trigger on the 180mm as it almost cost more than my camera and other lenses combined.

The Milwaukee Zoo is awesome. The Madison one is pretty nice for being free though.

I used Adobe Photoshop. It was pretty time consuming, as I had no idea what I was doing. That was my second attempt at making a panoramic picture. This was my first one, it was made from six pictures. The end image was pretty huge.

I saw it in the winter so everything was inside. I think that was the zoo that I saw a baboon that had litterally just been born. Still had an umbilical cord and the placenta was in the cage.

Might of been in FL though.

Great job for a 1st effort. They turned out fantastic! I'm going to have to give it a try. I've been wanting to for awhile now, but heard making clean stitch lines can be very difficult.

Thanks. It took a lot of clone stamping and using the image skew transform function. I just remembered I did a third one over the winter.

Untitled-1.jpg

Definitely looks the most seamless compared with the first two. This size doesn't really do it justice though.

I overlapped the pictures quite a bit and sort of deleted certain areas around the edges on the top layer so it blended smoothly with the bottom.
