bwidner
Has anyone done this? How thickly is the silicone gooped on there? Planning on adding a sump to the tank and wodering, plan on not completely emptying the tank and just buying a new knife for the job, figuring actual removal shouldn't take but 10 minutes. Will place most if not all rock in the sump with water and corals, and move fish to a bucket. Quote Link to comment
Rcplain123
I just did this for my BioCube. I would think its the same process. Its just a bunch of silicone so it's a pain in the butt. Cut around all contact points with the glass first and then slowly work your way from the top down to separate the plastic from the glass. Check out my thread for the results. You can see in the pics that there was tons of silicone on there. Quote Link to comment
MLS_Reef
It's easy, I did it in minutes. Scraping the silicone residual off the glass takes longer. Quote Link to comment
