SaltyMist
Just want to be sure that when I tell my friends it's a sponge, that it really is: Link to comment
Aiptasia
It could be a hitchhiking sponge or possibly some drab porites. Has it ever extended polyps? If so, it's porite coral. If not, it's probably a sponge. Link to comment
SaltyMist
I havnt seen it extend anything as of yet. I kind of expect that it will probably die during this first cycle in this tank. If it dies how will you know it's dead, will it turn black? Just asking so that if it dies I know to get it out of there. Thanks, Link to comment
mogurnda
Looks like lesser starlet coral, Siderastrea radians, if you ask me. Looks sad, may already be dead. If I'm right, and if it's still alive, it's a pretty tough coral. May survive the cycle, and is very adaptable about light. Grows really slowly, though. I just looked at your pic again. Do you mean the white blob on top of the coral? Link to comment
