MedRed
I just picked up a Canon EOS 7D. What is a good lens for taking full tank shots as well as non macro shots within the tank. Would a EF 50mm f/1.8 II fulfill my needs? I currently own: EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM (Kit Lens) EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Link to comment
naturalwonders
That's what I use. And I find it's working for me pretty well. Link to comment
jeremai
the 50 would probably work well, but honestly, the kit lens is more than adequate. Link to comment
MedRed
Thanks. I was thinking the 50mm would help with lower light situations. Link to comment

uwwmatt
Thanks. I was thinking the 50mm would help with lower light situations. I have the 50mm prime, and while its an awesome lens I don't like it all that much for FTS. I agree with some of the other posters that the kit is probably better suited. Get the 50mm anyway because it is cheap and takes great other pictures. Link to comment
