reefer38
first ID i need is for what i thought was a sponge. the reason im questioning now is because its not soft at all like i thought a sponge would be.. it also has little stringy thing coming out of it. its the orange thing, not the mushrooms next ID i need it what i think is a HH zoa polyp. i just noticed it a couple weeks ago but didnt get around to asking about it until now. im 99% sure its not majano or aptasia. i have some other zoas on the same rock but it does look like the eagle eyes . i couldnt get a picture of it other than the side, it at a difficult angle. rb1685
My guess would be pineapple sponge. . I have a few in my tank and seem to be harmless, as are most sponges. Definitely not hydroids. I have those too. Second pic is too blurry for an id, but I'm not good at zoa id's anyway. Link to comment
montipora
first one is foraminiferans, harmless filter feeders. second looks like a regular ol button polyp, google images to confirm. Link to comment
