Christopher Marks
VicSkimmr, they can be enlarged because they're not being printed at the native 240dpi, it's a lower resolution. This works out well with the medium, it cannot physically produce such a high resolution, and they're not meant to be viewed inches away anyways. Jeremai, the ink is being directly printed onto the wood, it's a process similar to the aluminum prints. I'm not moving away from aluminum prints, I just didn't want to overuse the medium. It's a big part of the Rail Yard series: metal box cars, metal prints. I thought printing on wood would provide an interesting juxtaposition with derelict manmade facades being reproduced on an organic material. I was planning on printing them large scale like the Rail Yard show, but I'm starting to consider producing lower priced medium scale pieces, with the potential to show perhaps twice as many photographs. I have so many images in the new series that I may also produce a photo book, since I cannot possibly produce or share all of them as individual prints. Link to comment
Christopher Marks
I spent this past weekend exploring along Oak Creek in Sedona, Arizona. I went out on some long walks with my Fujifilm X-Pro1, taking my 18mm lens some times, and other times my 35mm lens. metrokat
Wiamea Canyon is on the west side of the island, it's the largest canyon in the Pacific. It's a lot like the Grand Canyon, red rocks and all, but with vivid green plant life. Waimea Canyon by crmarks, on Flickr beautiful very unique Link to comment

Christopher Marks
My girlfriend and I were in Ohio last week visiting family, out for a late afternoon walk. We were amazed at how beautiful the light is out there and how green everything is, we're used to the harsh desert sun where we live. Christopher Marks
I decided to start a photo blog to collect all of my photographs from various services, including random images I capture that don't really fit in anywhere else. http://crmarks.tumblr.com/ Link to comment
animalmaster6
How are you liking using Tumblr? I tried it and couldn't get used to it. I'm considering using it again to showcase my photography. Link to comment
Christopher Marks
It's definitely unusual, I'm not sure how to tap into the social community there, but they seem to find my work one way or another. I'm not too concerned with that however, I suppose I just enjoy the simplicity of it. I can use it as a place to collect my photography from the various online services I use, namely Flickr and Instagram, and additionally upload some obscure images that I might not post on other services anyways. A repository of some sort. I'd say go for it, it's pretty hassle free, and it's free. Link to comment

icenine
Nice shooting Tex. Hey, I'm looking at printing some landscape work on wood and am anxiously awaiting a few sample prints to arrive. Can you provide some detail on the warping you experienced? What size, thickness and type of wood? Did you find a suitable way to seal that prevented it? TIA Link to comment
Christopher Marks
I've been going back through my old photos and revisiting some things I never got a chance to develop. Christopher Marks
Thanks! I usually hike early in the morning, it was cool to go so late in the day. I took so many photos I ended up hiking the last mile by moonlight. Luckily there was a full moon! I've been slacking on my photography, this reminded me why I enjoy it so much, and why I love my Fuji X100! Link to comment

Christopher Marks
My newest series FACADE is now showing in Downtown Phoenix. I am showing 10 photographs from the series, printed 36"x24" on birch plywood. It has been a long road to finally showing it, the response has been great so far. https://vimeo.com/93546239 Link to comment
