kevinicus
Hi guys, I have my buckpucks tied up to my Arduino and my question is what is the impact of having the arduino set the PWM level to 0 on the LEDS for an extended period of time? will this damage the buckpucks or lower their life expectancy? At the moment im using analogWrite(10, 0); to turn off my leds, is there a better/safer way? Link to comment
evilc66
Buckpucks use inverted input logic, so 0v (0% duty cycle) is full brightness, and 5v (100% duty cycle) is off. Nothing wrong with running at any duty cycle for extended periods. That's what they are designed for. Link to comment
kevinicus
explains why the puck is cooler when the light being emitted is less! thanks evil! Link to comment
