qbical
so i was at my lfs and saw what looked like some amazing zoas, but to my surprise they were labled Lepostrea. I cannot find info on this coral anywhere however I did find something called a leptastrea. Here is the best shot i could get with my phone. anyone know what this is and why it costs like 80$? http://www.flickr.com/photos/22391554@N04/5454647203/ Link to comment
jedidad
leptastrea(crater coral) is a stony coral so if you could get a closer look at it and see if it has a skeleton then it may be. hard to tell from the pic but it looks like zoas to me. Link to comment
wamb0010
I got a lepastrea as a freebie once when I bought frags. Definitely don't pay $80. Its a species of favia. You can probably find a whole chunk of it for $80 on divers den. That picture is hard to tell but in the light my leps polyps are very hairy, to the point you cant see the flesh, and significantly close up at night Link to comment
