I just replaced one of my actinic (have two of them) with the new ATI purple plus which is the equivalent of the Fiji purple. It really brightens up the tank and brings more pink out of my birdsnest. So my current light config is:

Blue +

pure actinic

Aquablue +

Purple Plus

Blue +

Blue +

 

I also have a brand new aquablue special. Do you think I should replace any of the above with the aquablue special?

 

Also, I should see more growth from my corals, no? I dont think the actinic was really contributing much towards growth.

if you like the way the color of the light looks i would leave it like it is. if your not getitng great growth check your parameters to make sure they are all fine because lighting isnt the only factor, with a 6 bulb fixture as long as you have decent reflectors your lighting should be more than sufficient unless you have a really deep tank.
