capturing leds with a camera or cam corder

im wondering what type of equipment reefers are using to capture or record their tanks with led light fixtures. i know its going to be hard to get the true exact color with a lens versus seeing it in person

the first easiest thing to do is to max out your shutter speed. On a cheap point and shoot, switching to sport mode is one way.

It's difficult. Capturing images as RAW files allows you to adjust the white balance with a slider and that gives you the best results. My Pentax Optio W60 has a custom white balance that produces results close to the naked eye.
