Maddevil1
I was wondering what was the best way to take pictures under actinic lighting only to capture what I am really seeing. The actinic lighting consists of 4 True Violet LEDs and 2 Royal Blue LEDs. Camera: Nikon D90 Lens: 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 and Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Photo Editing Software: GIMP (downloaded yesterday) or Picasa The way I shoot normally when all lights are on (MH- Phoenix 14K bulb and above mentioned actinics) is that I have a picture that I took of the sand that I use for my WB. The camera is in manual and I adjust the f-stop, shutter speed as well as the ISO (usually between 200-400). I take the picture in RAW and then fix the WB on the computer. What needs to be done differently for actinics only? Link to comment

Maddevil1
So should I use my custom WB or maybe auto? What ISO did you use to take those pics? Link to comment
05XRunner
shot raw and dont worry about WB till you do post process. i think they are ISO 100 why are you concerned about that...shoot with the lowest ISO you can Link to comment
