theheaddon910
I'm on day 13 of my 10g nano and have finally found my light, I am waiting on a 74 watt quad fixture with 2x 10k, 2x blue antinic, 2x blue moon led. With this light I figure I can get a large variety or coals. Maybe an anenome. Link to comment
partyinyourhonor
where did you find this light? are they 18w bulbs? t5? Link to comment
partyinyourhonor
aquaticlife? if so, it looks cool... you should be able to keep anything you would want to... Link to comment
theheaddon910
I'm not sure of the brand but I just ordered it. I figured I should just go ahead an get the good one now because if I ever went with a 20g or 15g I have the light I need. It is 20" but has expandable brackets up to 24". Link to comment
redfishsc
It will be overkill on a 10g, but not terrible overkill. You will want to be careful in acclimating new corals to your tank, you'll be getting (probably) around 300ppfd (PAR) all over the place in your tank, if your light has individual bulb reflectors. That's pretty bright. Link to comment
theheaddon910
How can that be overkill? Everyone that I've seen on here with a 10th gallon nano have a coralife 96w fixture. Mine is only 72 watts, 4x 18w bulbs. Link to comment
myjohnson
Independent reflectors allow t5s to own pc. Good light fight that size tank. Link to comment
evilc66
Sounds a lot like the Odyssea 20" 4x18W fixture. It should be fine for a 10g tank, but it's not going to be a top performer. Under driven ballasts, flat reflector, but decent bulbs. The 12K daylights are a little green though. Link to comment
