I<3House Posted February 7, 2011 Share Posted February 7, 2011 Hey, just looking for an opinion on what bulb combo to use on my tek T5 4 bulb fixture. I am looking for best growth but also best colour, It is mainly all zoanthids in this tank and is 20" deep. Options- 1 -Actinic + -Actinic + -Midday 6000K -Fiji purple 2 -Actinic + -Actinic + -Midday 6000K -50/50 bulb 3 -Actinic + -Actinic + -50/50 bulb -fiji purple Thanks ! Link to comment
evilc66 Posted February 7, 2011 Share Posted February 7, 2011 None of the above. All those actinics will give a lot of pop, but not necessarily the best overall color, or growth. Plus, with 6500K whites and a Fiji Purple, the tank is going to look yellow/red. Try this Blue+ Fiji Purple Blue+ Super Actinic Much more balanced with more PAR, more overall color, but still a decent amount of pop. Link to comment
