DK_Reef
Found a site so decided to switch this to, I was going to get a BC29 and the main purpose is a lagoon w/2-4 seahorses. I also wanted to keep some Button Polyps and maybe Zoanthids. For a pump the Vortech MP10 ES has a nice lagoon setting, but since the flow is between 200-1575 GPH is that still too much for the seahorses? The stock rio pump + the vortech (on low) would be around 400+ GPH. Could I keep zoas/palys with the stock pump or do they need more flow? Which would make them not good for a seahorse tank. keydiver
if you keep it on low power lagoon setting, it would be fine, better than a koralia or a similar pump IMO. The lagoon setting tends to disperse the flow, so it wouldn't be as powerful as you think, but it would eliminate dead spots and create a nice gentle flow Link to comment
