HecticDialectics
So I started my tank a week ago and it was all goin' pretty good And then today I go to take another picture The keen eye will notice my water level has dropped just around an inch!! So I start to look at my tank closer trying to find leaks and stuff. And I see these things everywhere Are they drinking my damn tank water?! Link to comment
Euphyllia
Those look like copepods. They're good. And you need to refill your tank with RO/DI water, because when saltwater evaporates it leaves salt behind so the salinity rises, which is why you need to refill your tank with RO/DI. Link to comment
euphoricgear
the jbj picotope loses a lot of water. Mine has to be topped off everyday with a bottled water. That's the problem I experienced with smaller tanks. Also what kind of light are you using? That could also be the problem. It might be too hot and evaporating your water too fast. You will need to monitor your water closely or get an Auto topoff system so that the water keeps stable. Zoos and some other corals dont like that extreme salinity change overnight. HecticDialectics
not only did they drink your water, they ate your sand too ! well i didnt have any sand, but that would certainly explain why my dry rock is smaller i hate this Link to comment
cptbjorn
smaller tanks have higher surface area/volume ratio = more % evap per day also it might be because you touch yourself at night Link to comment
CoralWhisperer
also it might be because you touch yourself at night Im callin shenaigans on this, with 26000 posts, we already know his hands are too busy . . . Link to comment

Obviously it absorbed all that water. It might have also contained some sponges that soaked it up. Link to comment
