I really want the AI but the thing is i can only get one and i have a 30in long tank. So if i were to get one and just take the optics off what kind of spread do you think i could get and keep par high? Or should i just get two of evils new picolamps? Link to comment
evilc66 Posted January 28, 2011 Share Posted January 28, 2011 You would have to take the lenses and the lower housing off (taking just the lenses out will improve spread, but not as much as you would hope), which would expose the electronics. That's not a good idea. 70 degree lenses are now available, and will offer better coverage. It's still going to be a stretch for a 30" tank though. Link to comment
