technique? frozen mysis cubes - strain/filter out liquid?

Just wondering, should i thaw then strain frozen mysis before feeding it to the tank?

 

To date, i've just wiggled the frozen cube in the tank water till some comes floating off, and then re-froze what was left of the cube.

I usually thaw with tank water in a measuring cup, then feed with tweezers. Check out PE brand mysis, it blows cubed mysis' protein levels out of the water, it comes in 1/4 thick sheets so its easier to ration the portion you thaw.
