privitor
Whats the difference between the Coralife 24W Actinic with Coralife 24W 10K and using 2 24watt Compact Flo 50/50 i cant really afford a t-5 or led upgrade so im just replacing the stock lights. Any help would be appreciated Link to comment
evilc66
There is no difference between the two. If you want an upgrade in output and color over the Coralife bulbs, then look at the UVL PC-Rs. They have internal reflectors that improve efficiency, and better phosphors for color and longer life. Link to comment

evilc66
The best combination is going to depend on the look you are going for. High PAR and high fluorescence aren't exactly priorities, so it's a matter of what shade of blue you want. One thing to note is that the Actinic White tubes have more of a pink tint to the light than a standard 10K bulb. If that's not your cup of tea, then go with any standard 10K or 14K white lamp. Seeing as performance isn't critical, the UVL bulbs may be overkill. Link to comment
FishStrings
I went with hagen aqua glo blue actinic and 18000k. It is enough to keep the xenia alive. Link to comment
