SPS ID please

Got this nice looking SPS frag the other day from my LFS.

And I don't really have an idea what it might be.

I don't really do SPS, but it looks like some sort of acropora to me.

I thought of acropora but was also looking for a more specific name so I can learn more about it.

Anyone know a good site to help identify corals?

Yeah it is def an Acro, maybe a bottlebrush of some sort. Google bottlebrush acro. A very adaptable acro and you will see quick growth if under good light.

 

Here is a link for pics of all different kinds of SPS in some guys tank. Lots of cool shots, have a look and find the closest pic and go from there. Good luck.

looks like A. Echinata to me...but all sps are hard to id to species without coralite pictures and a full sized colony :P
