ryux21 Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 Damn, yesterday I found my crab laying on its back while the hermits started to rush towards him. I was sad that he died I had him for about 5 months and now the anemones on his hand suddenly clinged onto some rockwork. Now i'm not sure if these two anemones are good or bad. They are white colored and too small to know it this point. Can someone tell me?

If they reproduce quickly or move around and bother other corals it will be up to you whether you want to keep them or not. If they are not the most asthetically pleasing you may want to get them out now before any damage can be done.

This isn't true, for me anyway. Mine lost his after about a week in the tank and after 3-4 months he is still alive. Will they grow back anyone know?
AReeferIsExpensive Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 umm...do the crabs GROW the anemones?? i thought they were given them when they are tank raised...or pick them up in the ocean if they are wild?? Blown...how did he "loose" them?? did they die? im getting a boxer in a couple weeks that i ordered from a lfs. I would be upset if the little anemones died right after i bought him makes me want to wait a couple more months....
