Old Gregg
I purchased a bunch of cerith, nerite, and nassarius snails from reefcleaners. The ceriths and nerites both went for the top for a few days while the nass just burrowed in the sand and randomly pop out to say hello. Don't worry about it. Of the 100 or so snails I got, maybe 5 have died in the past month. Also, the ceriths play follow the leader. They all seem to migrate in the same genal area at any given time Link to comment

basser1
This is funny..... I also got a cuc from John as well recently. And like you, the nerite snails all gathered together at the top. One morning, I'm lookin' at the tank and noticed a new "knob" on the door of the tank stand! Well after further investigation, it was a nerite snail I thought was a knob! No tellin' how long it was there, but it was still stuck pretty good. So I plopped it back in the tank and it's doin' what snails do. So.... Keep an eye out for run-away snails! Link to comment
qwiksilver711
Luckily I its a biocube with no openings. I had to seal off everything because my son put stuff in it and nuked it a month ago Link to comment
JayMC
Those snails like to chill in the upper corners and sleep during the day. look at your tank after the lights are out and you will see the corners empty and them busy at work in your tank. its normal Link to comment

Once lights are out they start moving around within 30 minutes to an hour. Link to comment
qwiksilver711
I worried prematurely, you guys are correct. They truck around no problem, but once the lights turn on they freeze. Link to comment
