ashfordL
Ok so i have a six month old 29 gallon tank. Lately i have been having phospahte and nitrate problems which have cause my tank to grow hair algae and some dictoya. I recently purchased a phosban reactor and set it up. But now i need to know how to get my nitrates down to 0. Any suggestions? oh and BTW y lighting is TEK 4x24 with 6 month old ATI bulbs, and my filtration is a fluval 205. Link to comment
sefrayser
Im a relative newbie but GFO will take care of the PO4 and water changes will get the nitrates down. You may half to do 10% a couple times a week. I put a GFO reactor on my 34G Solana, but I have been told that you can put it in a bag and let the water run over it. Hope this helps. Link to comment
Squared
water changes, chemi pure elite, and macro algea. will help. raising magnesiums to 1600 will kill off hair algea. Link to comment
