This would be my dream lens for aquarium photographing. Its one of the cheapest L series lenses but still at almost $900. I can't justify it, but man I have sure come close a couple times.

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM

cool.cool. i was thinking i might sell my L series 14mm for the next one up but this should do.

The 100mm USM macro (non L) is the best bang for your buck IMO.

I have it, but would take the L if I had the cash - I use the 100mm as a tele for portraits a lot and wouldn't mind having the IS for slower shutter speeds.

then either wait (worth it imo), or go with the first link. i got mine used for about 450 on photography-on-the.net forums.

Not fish, but I took this with it:

My pick for the 5D would be the Canon 100mm f/2.8L. For extreme macros, nothing beats the Canon MP-E 65mm. Though, the Sigma 150mm would be a excellent choice also.
