ferpayson
I'm starting a new tank, 7.5gallon 12X12X12 cube. I will be be keeping mostly LPS and Softies, no fish. I wanted to know if everything is safe enough for my corals and for eachother. -Candy cane pistol shrimp (1) -Yellow watchman goby (1) -Blood shrimp (1) -Sexy shrimp (3) -Red legged hermits (2-4) -Snails (3) I've heard if you keep everything well fed there will be no aggression. If I feed pellets instead of flakes will it keep my tank cleaner? Thanks, Brenden Link to comment
Squared
Stocking list seems good, but a smaller shrimp goby may be better. As for your pellet or flakes question, I don't know. Frozen food is what is commonly fed to captive creatures. Link to comment

keydiver
You could do a yasha goby, yellow watchman, or hi-fin banded goby, all of these stay small and pair w/ pistol shrimp Link to comment

Hi Fin Red Banded Shrimp Goby and the Yasha Goby are the best two options for Alpheus randalli. They are great and stay small. A pics of mine are in my sig. Link to comment

I sure dont want to end up buying two males that will kill eachother.. And a watchman goby is ok if I chose to go that way? or would you suggest going with the options you provided me with? Thanks for all your input guys, Brenden Link to comment

Thanks for all your input guys, Brenden It all depends on the LFS, many are untrustworthy, after all they are just trying to sell you stuff. I would recommend a Yasha, IMO they have great personality when paired w/ a pistol and look way cooler too. Yellow watchman's are just a "whatever fish" for me, but do whatever you're happy with. Thanks for all your input guys, Brenden Alpheus randalli will most likely have a better chance of pairing with the Hi Fin Goby and the Yasha Goby. IME females have a larger stomach and one of their claws are larger. Males will not kill each other but I doubt they will pair together. Link to comment

Are they pricey, or different care than the YWG? Thanks, Brenden Link to comment

Thanks, Brenden Same care as YWG but they are smaller. They can be a little more expensive than the YWG but not too bad. Link to comment
