Tunze 9002 question

Hello I recently purchased a jbj 28 hqi and was planning on getting a tunze 9002 skimmer to replace the stock skimmer. Well my question was would i have to mod the hood, back chamber, or anything to make it fit?

You will need to remove the magnet from the side and use this cup. There is no need to cut the hood or other mods with this arrangement.

Is there a particular side the magnet needs to be on Stevie? I just got my cup and it still clips some of the sump divider. My cup opening at the moment is closest to the outside left wall (if you are looking at the tank).

I believe most mount the magnet to the back of the skimmer and mount it to the rear of the tank

sorry, let me be more specific. The skimmer is mounted to the back of the tank, but the opening where the cup goes is on on the left side.
