Possible to convert CF hood to MH or LED?

Hello. I purchased a used 28G nanocube that came with a CF hood. The plastic covering is missing on the hood, so I have not been using it. Instead, I have been using a 250w Sunpod with success. I was wondering if it was possible to swap out parts in the hood and convert it to MH or LED instead? If so, what all is needed? I have never done anything like this before, and can use all of the help I can get! Thanks.

you would be better of converting it to LED, the 250w is too much for the hood and will cause heat issues, look at nanotuners.com for led.

There are few threads on here that show a few led's retro'd exactly like how you had in mind. I'm shure some of the guys that have done this would love to chime in here and show how they have done this. I'll also see if I can pull a few links up in the mean time.
