Lighting is the main cause of bleaching but it's more the adjustment to new lighting conditions than the lighting itself. Also note that corals can bleach from factors other than lighting as well. WHAT KIND OF LIGHTS ARE THEY UNDER? currently under, 10k 16 watt + actinic blue 16 watt T5NO. Link to comment
