Chamber one floor removal

I just removed the false floor in chamber one on my bc14 and I can not believe how much crap had settled in there. I have been using the Biocube skimmer so the filter pad was out and the amount of crap that had stacked up in 3 months is amazing. I think this is a must do mod for the BioCube. I blasted it out with a baster and captured most of it in the filter pad.

Definitely one of the first mods that I performed on my biocube. You should see a change in your nitrate level now.

go ahead and remove the bioballs (slowly, a few every other day if they are in there) and the false floor in chamber 2. cut the tab a bit wider between 1 and 2 for even better flow.

Not sure if this is the right place or not but with my BC14, I have noticed that the window in the back is almost completely covered with green/brown algae and cleaning it is almost impossible, it is almost blocking all of the light in there. Is this normal? How does on keep that window clear?
