Percula and new Six Line

Morning everyone, just looking for some input on this situation. I'm not particularly concerned, and assume it will work itself out, but I would like to hear if anyone has had any similar experiences or thoughts.

History:

Since about may, the residents of my tank had been two Perculas and a YWG/Pistol. Big female perc was getting way too aggressive with the male so I handed her off about a month ago. Since then the male has grown, probably starting to turn, and had full rule of the tank (providing he avoided the Goby's area). He is extremely aggressive toward me, biting whenever he can.

Yesterday, I added a small (~1.25") Six Line and he immediately started methodically exploring every cave and crevice in my rock. I figured that the two should keep each other in check, or, if anything, the clown would bully the wrasse a bit. However, three or for hours after adding the new fish, I came back to my tank to see the Clown hovering in the upper rear corner of the tank, almost vertically, behind the powerhead and heater cords.

Occasionally the Six Line will swim up toward him and they will shake at each other a bit. Sometimes, just after that, the clown will come out and the two will swim around each other a bit before the clown returns to his corner. I haven't seen any aggression from one to the other, no chasing or nipping. Does it seem the Six Line is bullying the clown, the clown is just unahppy to have a new tank mate or that something else may be wrong?

The YWG is neutral as always, although I've never seen him put on a meaner face than the one he did the first time he saw the Six Line near the sand..

TLDR: Is my old clown afraid of the brand new Six Line?

Very well written, yes.

It's only been a day. Give it a week then see what's up. Although a 6line is listed as a peaceful tank mate, that's not always the case. The 6 line is pretty territorial by nature and will claim whatever space it can.

After a week tops or, if you wanna get your hands wet, try re-scaping the tank a little to put everyone back to square one.

best-o-luck

Alright thanks for the info. It's strange because the wrasse doesn't even seem to be aware of the clown, busy eating all my pods.. if he would only get to the flatworms.

I'm expecting everything to pan out, eventually; at least it's good to see no one else has had any issues with the two :)
