Proteus
Does anyone know if marine supplements have a shelf life? I found some Kent Marine Pro-Buffer dKH, Concentrated Liquid Calcium, Purple-Up, Kent Marine Strontium with Molybdenum, Essential Elements, and some Kent Marine Super Iodine in my basement that has been down there for a few years. I would like to still use it if it is ok. Thanks in advance! Link to comment
seabass
First of all, don't dose anything unless a test kit indicates that your tank is deficient in that element. Also, when dosing calcium or alkalinity, you must test for both along with pH and be aware of your magnesium level. Finally, water changes with a good reef salt might be all that your tank requires. I probably wouldn't use supplements that where several years old. Link to comment
