ditka
Biocube 29 with a stand from craigslist for $200 http://nmi.craigslist.org/for/2097388803.html i found this in my area on craigslist but i have a dilemma... i just ordered a Aqua Euro 12.5 tank from here: http://www.csnstores.com/asp/show_detail.asp?sku=AEU1002 i also bought a Par38 from nanotuners Blalck Friday sale to go with the Aqua Euro so, my question is, should i cancel my order of the aqua euro and pick up the craigslist biocube instead? It seems like quite the deal with quite a bit of extra equipment, even if i do have to clean out the tank and restart it. my main stumbling block is that i will be heading away to college next year and would like to bring whichever tank i go for with me, and i think the Aqua Euro 12.5 would be easier to transport. but i suppose the biocube is not all that much bigger... what do you think?? oh yeah, this is my first foray into a marine aquarium, incase that matters. ditka
should i repost this in the equipment forum? i just realized that this might not have been the best category to post under... Link to comment
knives2886
go for the 29 bigger the better. i started a 5gal nano and kicking my self for not starting a 20+ gal tank. Link to comment
rnd4
12g or 29g....either way, moving is a pain. Why not give yourself more room to work with/margin of error for only $100? Link to comment
ednangel
i say keep them both... Link to comment
ditka
really??? can you explain your thinking? i was leaning toward just one tank due to the whole "college" thing and trying to limit costs. Link to comment
ednangel
The smaller tank can be used as an acclimation/ QT tank; this would definitely help you in the future to avoid pest or illness to be introduced to your tank. If you only can afford one go with the biggest one. Link to comment
sirbiggstixx
go with the 29..you will regret it later...unless you need the cash you could make the other tank a quarantine tank or a frag tank..but def get the bigger tank for your display tank.. Link to comment
ditka
well, the deal for the biocube fell through... it was over 2.5 hours away from me and i didn't feel comfortable trying to transport a tank, a stand, ~29 gallons of water and the tanks inhabitants that far. so 12.5 here i come!
