Rehype
Sure a wartskin angler would be a good choice. They require low tank flow and no other tankmates(as they would eventually be eaten). They also have to be feed live foods such as feeder shrimp. Link to comment

hayseed777
A wartskin (antennarius maculatus) or a painted (antennarius pictus) would both be more than happy in a 20L. I'd go with the warty as they stay smaller (under 4") and are easier to positively ID because of their shrimp-shaped esca. If you choose to go with a pictus (up to 6") you'll be looking for a short, pom pom-like esca. Nems are a no go with these guys, even mini/maxis. Overfeeding can cause them to stop eating completely. A good feeding schedule would be 2-3 feeder shrimp 2 times a week or one saltwater feeder fish then 1-2 feeder shrimp 4 days later. These are general guidelines, the angler will let you know it's hungry by luring, so don't starve him because it isn't time for a scheduled feeding. There are online companies that can supply saltwater feeders. You'll need a sizable tank to keep the feeders in for that to be economical though. Sourcing a local feeder supply and training your angler to take frozen is probably the best option. Not all anglers can be trained to accept frozen, so the feeder supply is important. Good luck and keep us updated. Link to comment
