ScubaJ
So I am going to get a GFO reactor for my cube. Now, its small, only a ~30 gallon system. Could I use something like a Aquaclear 20, use the "refugium mod" coupled with a bag of GFO and get the same/similar result? Does a reactors design greatly improve its function where there would be a clear distinction in performance? Link to comment

jfarabaugh
Reactors are much more efficient. Check out bulkreefsupply.com for cheap bullet proof reactors. Link to comment
ScubaJ
Yeah, I was torn between theirs and the Two Little Fishes reactor. I figure anything WILL work, and $40-50 is not expensive for a piece of equipment. I might try the AC20 option first to see if it works and then get a reactor after 6 months to see if I can notice a difference. If I CANT notice a difference I will just slap the reactor on my 40B. Anyone who has handled both the TLF and the BRS reactors will tell you the BRS reactor is night and day better. It uses all the same parts as an RO/DI system. Link to comment
