milk
Hey guys and gals, I'm transferring to a 38 gallon later today that I am getting with all the established water as well as the LR. I have a 6 gallon right now with a 2" SB. The larger tank has a very thin SB. The larger tank is coming with everything, skimmer, lighting, heater and powerhead, was being used as a qt so no livestock. I am going to move the larger tank by putting the water in a larger, cleaned out plastic drum. Any advice on how to move everything from my 6 to the 38 once I get the 38 setup? (will probably just drip acclimate everything like you would when normally moving livestock to new tank..) Thanks! Link to comment
youincolor
I think you'll be golden man, I wouldn't even worry about drip acclimating myself, but that's me. I've done it, and I haven't done it, and I haven't seen much need to do it. Unless it's with things that have been shipped to the house, I think most tanks/LFS are using similar water params, temps, etc. I think you might want to move the 38 over to your house and set it up, let it run for awhile and see how it goes. Do you need to transfer everything in the 6 into right away? Link to comment
