JakeF150
I have an old K-2... I m thinking about getting new K-2 (EVO 750)..for one reason- SAVE electric on bill I know its 150 gph different... Do you think 750 is too much for my Biocube 29 ? Will it blow sand into snowstorm? I have SPS, LPS, and softies plus 4 fishes. Is K2 EVO(new) flow wide SPREAD than old one ?? Thanks! Jake Link to comment
AZDesertRat
They don't make the K series anymore and the Evolutions are a completely different design. The three biggest advantages are they use about half the power, they are much smaller and best of all they are controllable and totally silent when switching on and off. As for size, I don't know. I use two Evo 1400's in a 60" long 100G and they move sand at the far opposite corner of the tank if not pointed up so they move a ton of water. Link to comment
Poodges
I had 2 750's in my 40 breeder and they would kick up sand if not pointed perfectly. I think that's too much flow from 1 powerhead in the 29 biocube, but some people disagree. I like my setup: hydor flo on the outlet and 2 koralia nano 240's strategically placed around the tank.
