Fragging mushrooms

So am I correct in assuming that I frag a mushroom by simply slicing it off the rock, affixing it somewhere else and letting the "stump" regrow into a new mushroom?

thats one way. some folks take it a step further and cut the shroom itself like a pizza, then put the cuttings in a rubble tray till they attach themselves
