cptbjorn
how many watts does it say it does? I think it'll grow chaeto very well from close range, like it you put it right against the back glass of a fuge or a couple inches off the water. a single 3w LED over a HOB fuge grows chaeto like crazy for me. but if you move it a foot off the water to grow mangroves I think your chaeto won't get enough light. evilc66
Don't beleive it. That's a Light of America lamp, and they got pinged recently by the FTC for falsely advertizing the performance of lamps they made by a factor of two. But like cptbjorn said, unless it's right on top of what it's supposed to be growing, results will be poor, whether or not the stats listed on the packaging for this lamp are correct or not.
