wamb0010
yeah this isn't a huge purcahse but it is significant enough that i am probably just going to hold off on a hasty purchase since I haven't had adequate time to research. Link to comment

Yeah, take your time. Your not really saving to much on that Wal-Mart deal as they have the same bundle avaliable everyday for $499. If I can save $50 tomorrow I am going to grab one if avaliable, but Im not going to loose sleep over it if I have to pay an extra $50 or find something better Link to comment

I would suggest picking up the rebel xs to get a hold of the dslr world and then later you'll want to get in the prosumer range the 30-60d range Link to comment
Christopher Marks
I'd recommend going for the T2i. The image sensor is far superior in low light, better autofocus, and the camera ergonomics are really improved. You might consider just buying the kit without the telephoto lens to get started, I think some sites have it for $799 or $749 today. It's a camera worth buying high end lenses for, if you stick with it. Link to comment
Christopher Marks
I don't know if you went for a camera on Friday, but if not, you can get the same T2i with both lenses for $800 online at Amazon. Just add the T2i kit, the 55-250 lens, and use the coupon code at the top of the page. http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=...=noisydeals1-20 Link to comment
