JerseyChick
Here is one of my beautiful babies that makes me enjoy the simple pleasures of photo hunting a cycling tank. ~ its not a mojano? Link to comment
DaJMasta
Any chance of a closer up pic? I can't tell if it's an anemone or an urchin Link to comment

Cloudburst2000
Yeah, pic is way too small to tell anything from. Just looks like a blob to me Link to comment

JerseyChick
Dahlia Anemone <- Is what I think it is (wait till Dahliaheartsyou sees this LOL <3 ) but seriously fits the description exactly down to the found on rock undersides http://www.vattenkikaren.gu.se/fakta/arter...li/urtifee.html from a website... (close right?) or you still need a better pic I guess http://www.corbisimages.com/images/67/B7DC...E8/SP015240.jpg Link to comment
carbon-mantis
Where is the rock from? I don't see much of a chance of a coldwater Scandinavian anemone making it's way into someone's tank unless the rock has been taken from the area. Link to comment
JerseyChick
Its not a positive ID its what it looks like. better picture to come ~ I promise Link to comment
carbon-mantis
Could possibly be some majano color variation. A while back there was a very pretty pink variety that some labeled as "tulip anemones," but I haven't seen any for a few months on any website. Link to comment
JerseyChick
here's a closeR up Link to comment
tako
Does it have a skeleton? You should be able to tell when it's retracted. It kind of looks like a tiny plate coral. They start out attached to rocks and then detach when they grow larger. I have one in my tank right now, but it's in a spot that's hard to photograph. You can clearly see the ridges of the skeleton when it's shrunken. Link to comment
JerseyChick
Is a better picture and I have about seven that move around (every morning when I wake up they are in a different dark underside crevice) They have a "stem" very similar to a button polyp stem, and these things are less than a centimeter across tip to tip so i have no clue about any possible skeleton. tako
nah if it moves like that it's definitely not a coral. Some type of nem... Link to comment
JerseyChick
not a mojano tho right? well even if it is, I am keeping it. prettiest lil hiker I have ever found tho Link to comment
wimby
No idea what it is but I like it. Real pretty Link to comment
tako
As long as it doesn't start reproducing out of control or roam around stinging corals then I wouldn't worry. If the population starts exploding you better get on top of it quickly, though Link to comment
