Where is the rock from? I don't see much of a chance of a coldwater Scandinavian anemone making it's way into someone's tank unless the rock has been taken from the area.

Could possibly be some majano color variation. A while back there was a very pretty pink variety that some labeled as "tulip anemones," but I haven't seen any for a few months on any website.

Does it have a skeleton? You should be able to tell when it's retracted.

It kind of looks like a tiny plate coral. They start out attached to rocks and then detach when they grow larger. I have one in my tank right now, but it's in a spot that's hard to photograph. You can clearly see the ridges of the skeleton when it's shrunken.

Is a better picture and I have about seven that move around (every morning when I wake up they are in a different dark underside crevice) They have a "stem" very similar to a button polyp stem, and these things are less than a centimeter across tip to tip so i have no clue about any possible skeleton.

As long as it doesn't start reproducing out of control or roam around stinging corals then I wouldn't worry. If the population starts exploding you better get on top of it quickly, though
