sebae anemone hitch hikers!

picked up a pretty sebae last night that came with a decent sized rock. The sponge came with it but when we got everything in the tank we noticed the little dark anemone like things, there are about four of them on the rock. No idea what they are. Thanks for the help in advance!

Hmmm.. I'm hesitant to immediately label them as majano anemones. Do you have a closer picture maybe so you can see the anemone from the front?

if you like that sponge you'll probably want to flip that rock a bit to get it out of the light... sponges hate tank transfers and it'll probably melt away anyways but its chances are better in the shade.

I really don't think that is a sebae.. doesn't look like the one I have in my tank, or have seen in others. Also sebaes are normally sand dwellers and hardly seen on rocks unless specifically put there.

I am thinking that is definitely a majano anemone especially since there is more than one of them.

We looked majanos up and he's pretty convinced.. I'm in denial because they aren't good and I was so hopeful for cool hitchhikers.. but if they can become a nuisance in large quantities then we've gotta do something because the count on that rock is up to seven..

The placement of the sponge is as shady as we can get it relative to keeping the anemone happy. I'm not sure if its true but we had thought sponges shouldn't ever hit the open air. If that's the case this girl bagging the rock up wasn't pretty worried.

I can't really find sebaes online that look as cool as this one so I sort of agree, Neb. But that's what the lfs said and they know everything right? Lol we're anemone rookies and just want his vicious clown fish to host.. but of course not, I want him to sell these and get some saddle backs. Maybe they wouldn't attack his hand

Well thanks for the help everyone :)
