Hello everybody I have a JBJ 12 g nano cube with original powerhead, I don't remember how many gph flows in to the tank, maxi-jet 12 provides 295usgph I like to replace stock one with it but not sure if this will be to much water flow.

I'm planing to stock fish only, and CUC, my tank is been running for a week now going to a minicycle. due to some drastic changes I made. any way please help me out on this question on powerhead

It's hard to have too much flow. MJ900 or Hydor 1200 would probably be more suited.

I like the evopico but JMO

 

I would be more worried about the heat that is put out. I have read that some people noticed a 2 degree higher temp with the maxi-1200. If you dont have a chiller be careful about this.....

Is this Hydor can be set up in the back of the tank as the stock one.

Yes, I have the BC8 pump around here somewhere but can't remember the outlet size. If it is 3/4" than it will use the same tube. If not than you will need a new tube or adapter, <$1

Nevermind, it comes with a 1/2" adapter for a hose
