jbfrompa Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 This came on a rock that I got with zoas and mushrooms on it. I started to see it about 2 monts after I got the rock. It always has its feeding tentacles out. I has a pinkish color to it under the lights. The tentacles are clear in color. Let me know what you think. I have two pictures one is from the top looking down and the other is the side profile.
jbfrompa Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 I dont think that it is a cup coral. Most of them need to eat to stay alive and I have not fed this one. I think that it is at least partially photosynthetic. Also the coral never is retracted like I have read the the cups and the dendro do. It looks like it is attached to a skeleton like a candy cane or a frogspawn but it is so small that I am not sure that it is not just laying on the rock. Could it be some type of anemone?
