gulfsurfer101
I just scored a rock with over 200 rde's for thirty bucks and a rock with about 50+ polyps of what looks to be goblins fire zoanthids along with two ten dollar sps frags to give my cube a nice filled out look. I also added my only inhabitant, a single perc clown. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
Here is the latest style i decided to run with. The fixture im using to hold my boost bulb is a simple 15lamp from hd screwed into th stand to keep it from tipping. I think it works very well. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
Thanks, that's the one i was able to score for thirty and it fragged itself in the bag like 3timez so if you want some i got frags to spare. Here a shot from the side. Link to comment

duoc9119
Maybe I missed it, but can you go into detail on the modded Koralia Nano? I would like to save some space in my 5 gallon Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
I have since taken it out and just upped my return pump. I hated the look of my knano and the space it took so i removed the mounting back from the powerhead and used one of those black sticky pads like the ones that come with the vortecs to hold the cable to the glass and just used a tiny tie strap to hold it on. It kept it hidden on one side of my overflow box Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
Here's the latesr scape in my cube and my clown has found a spot in the tank to host between my main chunk of lr and my overflow box. Just felt like uploading some pics since my tank is fairly young and it would be s good start to document growth under my boost bulb. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
Here's my bargain bin canes doing well under my lighting I love the look of my 3b2w par30 way more than the 4b1w I started this tank with. I have seen better coral response as well as growth using this gen2 boost bulb as well. The growth im seeing on this sps frag are amazing. New branching spots as well as a 1/4" growth since adding it around 2mo ago. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
I love local reefers, I was able to pick up a small branching double headed frogspawn for ten bucks and the even tossed in an electric blue mushroom that just screams under the leds. I just dripped the frogspawn and placed it into the tank. Once it gets acclimated a little better I will putty him into the rockwork. My goal for this tank is to have zero frag plugs and to keep all livestock under 50 bucks. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
These clowns are hanging close to that frogspawn. And my new shroom. It hitched about three babies on an olive snail shell. sorry for the makeshift pics the camera phone just doesn't take good pics under leds. Link to comment
Nano sapiens
These clowns are hanging close to that frogspawn. And my new shroom. It hitched about three babies on an olive snail shell. sorry for the makeshift pics the camera phone just doesn't take good pics under leds. Looks like things are coming along nicely. BTW - Watch out for the Blue 'Shrooms. I started with just a few and they multiplied to around 50 in a year. On top of that, they produce floaters (sometimes very small), so over time you'll find them just about everywhere. I scraped mine off the rocks a few weeks ago. Thought I had 'em all, but I see a few tiny heads popping up, so time to break out the mini-screwdriver again. Link to comment
