yoshii
Anyways, I'm going to brainstorm to you guys how what fish/inverts/etc I should get for this tank because my family is sick of me asking them about fish choices So, for fish, I want a small goby that will hang in the macros and stuff, then I want probably 1-2 fish that will swim around in the tank. I have picked out some gobies that I would be interested in, but I've having trouble finding the fish that will swim in the open. Gobies I like: -Cave Transparent Goby -Blotched Goby -Red Spotted Trimma Goby -(2x)Neon Gobies The "other" fish I like: -(2x)Firefish -Green-Blue Chromis (Could I do a single one? ) -Some kind of damsel? -Lol idk..suggestions? So what combos do you think would work best in this tank? Edited August 22, 2010 by yoshii Quote Link to comment
Kazooie
If you do a chromsi I would only do one. They will pick each other off in a smaller tank. Quote Link to comment

I was wondering if it would get stressed being a loner since they school in the wild/larger tanks I know, kinda sad, they look so nice in schools Quote Link to comment

yoshii
Question about "Rock Shrimp". So I was looking in LA's DD and saw "Rock Shrimp" as Macrobrachium sp. http://liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDispl...&ddid=87494 I was lurking on this board And saw Aquabacs post Rock Shrimp as Urocaridella sp. and gave this link. http://www.flickr.com/photos/brianmayes/4018216558/ They look different, and also have different latin names, will the one from LA hover around the aquarium too like the other one? animalmaster6
Yep most if not all species will hover. Don't get your hopes up on that Blotched Goby They are really rare. Quote Link to comment

yoshii
Ok, I've been looking at DD and other sites that have unique inverts(if anyone knows of some, please tell me, they're hard to find!) and have come up with a wishlist of inverts I would like to have in this tank The * means that I will most likely be able to get these for this tank Crabs/Shrimp/Snails 5+Bumble Bee Snails* 2+Rock Shrimp 1x Pederson Cleaner Shrimp 2x Pom Pom Crab* 1x Yellow Line Shrimp 1or3 Sexy Shrimp* Sponges Most of these sponges I probably won't be able to get -White Lightning Sponge (Seen at my LFS once before, looks so awesome!) -Red Ball Sponge -Tree Sponge -Blue Sponge -Purple Vase Sponge(For this one, extra emphasis on the "wish" part of wishlist) -Unk Gray "branchy" sponge, currently in stock at the LFS* -Unk Orange "leafy" sponge, currently in stock at the LFS* -Yellow Ball Sponge, currently in stock at the LFS* -Any other sponges I can get my hands on lol Other 1xOrange/Purple/Pink Tube Nems (Don't really care about color, as long as it's not brown lol) 1+Asst. Feather Dusters* 1x Coco Worm Hmmm I feel like I'm missing some..am I? Edited August 20, 2010 by yoshii Quote Link to comment

yoshii
all those shrimps in a 10g, you're going to get a lot of casualties Lol, well of course I'm not going to get all of those! It's just a list of some inverts I like, I'm going to pick a few for this tank, I'm just not sure which ones Quote Link to comment
supernip
even with those numbers, you'll have problems. For example, 5 bumblebee shrimps will mess each other up Quote Link to comment
