spanko
good to see people still doing nice things with the BioCube 29, well done. Link to comment
asstastic
i do have the stock reflector. the only reason is these new bulbs have internal reflectors and it comes with a workhorse 5 ballast Link to comment

markiemark
Hahaha. Got me lol. i mean did the retro kit come with it wired to ballast or does that need to be done. Haha Link to comment
asstastic
jk. you have to wire the ballast to a plug (old extension cord works great) Link to comment

rO.oster
t5-VHO barebones retro right? 12"? thanks! thats not a bad price! Link to comment
crx2ner
just curious as to why you went with the 12" bulbs? I believe the 18 inch bulbs are really only 16 3/4's (or something close to that) would they not fit? Also, did the ballast fit inside the hood? Link to comment
asstastic
just curious as to why you went with the 12" bulbs? I believe the 18 inch bulbs are really only 16 3/4's (or something close to that) would they not fit? Also, did the ballast fit inside the hood? i believe the 18" bulbs are 18". so i might have been able to squeeze two 18" bulbs in there but with the 12" i was able to put them where the stock pc bulbs were under the splash guard. the ballast will fit in the hood but it gets up to 100* around here in the summer so i mounted it out of the hood. highest my temp got in august was 81* (before i got reef keeper light to keep my temp more stable) Link to comment
moneyman6891
http://www.nanotuners.com/ what bulbs did you order? Atinic white 454 Aquasun Super Atinic I wanted it really blue. Im still waiting on mine, they havent shipped it yet, they said the endcaps were out of stock. Link to comment
asstastic
just a little tip. leave one of the originial bulb set ups and move the pc to where the reflector comes out and has all the wires behind it in hood so you can keep that actinic bulb for more blue. The what i use for dusk dawn kinda effect. When I have to replace my t5s i will also be ordering a PC-R for there Link to comment
moneyman6891
Thats a good idea, but im gonna use my stock lighting(replaced bulbs) for a freshwater retro. Link to comment
