Will the heater kill macro algae

I'm getting an AC70 to use as a fuge, and I was wondering if I kept my heater in there with the macro, will it kill it? I'm going to need to wedge the heater in diagonal so it's going to be touching the algae.

It's fine if it's not touching, but you do want to have good water flow over the heater.

i also have my heater in the fuge no problems so far but i only put it in there for a couple of months so far
