R.I.P. Swayd's 20L!

I have a friend that has a two bulb on his and although things are alive, there is little growth.

 

I would keep an eye out for a fur bulb. You could do a fishneedit.com 4x24, only thing is it is 24 inches so you would need to either hang it or put two acrylic/glass panes across the tank to support it.

I was thinking that growth would be pretty slow and I have been looking at 24" fixtures because I dont want to put a 36" one on lol

I would like the 24" to be able to keep some acans on the side of the tank where there is less light

I dont know yet I have never really looked in to SPS

Once I get my lights upgraded I will try to grow out the lobo and frag it

No the guy I got it from just cut it up and put it in the bag lol

it survived and I got it for free so I cant complain

I paid $19.99 for 30lbs of dry aragonite sand at Petsmart..

Hahahaha, it's oolite sand, it's a finer grain, but cheaper.

For 15lbs of dry Agramax sand, it was $17.99, so might as well get double the sand for only a few bucks more!

Nope although since you're planning for SPS (high flow!) maybe you want to go with a very thin sandbed or maybe get the bigger grain.
