JakeF150
I m not sure.. I have frogspawn on right, duncan in the middle and candy cane on left side...these are approx few inches apart....can they attack to other corals? Just noticed duncans closed and isnt very open like it always open.. Thanks! Jake Link to comment
streetsong
Frogspawn and candycane both have tentacles that can sting neighboring corals. Of the three, the duncans are the most peaceful. You should relocate the duncans as soon as possible. Link to comment

circusordie16
if it did already sting it the duncan will most likeyl still be fine anyways. but i would suggest moving it as its kinda stuck in a bad place now. Link to comment
JakeF150
i moved it to sandfloor..for now... thanks jake Link to comment
Bill Nye
i moved it to sandfloor..for now... thanks jake IMO the candy cane is too close as well. Frogspawn/torch/hammer corals have very powerful sweepers that can stretch way further than youd think. Link to comment

While I agree with the sentiment, I've got a branching hammer which essentially has no sweepers that extend out; I've never seen damage on nearby corals and never seen them out. There's a chance it is ok, but if it's already hit your duncans the best bet is to seperate them. Corals will usually live through a little warfare unharmed in the long run, but if you let it go on for too long you will lose the less agressive one. Link to comment

I think it depends on alot of flow direction and intensity. While ive seen people with hammers next to less aggressive coral, ive also seen a green slimer get destroyed by a frogspawn that was about 10 inches away. Link to comment
